Currently a Board Member of The European Business Council and Board Member of the Portuguese Business Council. The European Business Council is the umbrella organisation of Business Associations, Chambers of Commerce or Embassies’ Trade Services from the 17 European countries, as represented in Kenya. The council’s aim is to create a broader network and provide a strong united voice on major issues of member companies regarding trade and trade policy in the region.
As a Board Member one of the primary objectives is to work with the Government of Kenya and other East African Countries and the East African and European Private sector to increase European investment in East Africa and to ensure that East Africa can expand and diversify its exports to the EU and elsewhere. The EBC is also instrumental in Assuring its Members have a voice in Government to deal with multiple trade policies and procedures.
As the Managing Director and Shareholder of Software Distributors Africa Ltd, an IT firm that distributes IBM and Lenovo Hardware in East Africa since 1999. During the past 25 years I have developed an extensive knowledge of the East African market, having distributed Microsoft, Symantec, Corel, and Mapinfo Software in East Africa as a Distributor under Software Distributors Africa Limited. I am a certified Microsoft License Specialist with over 25 years of experience selling solutions under a Distribution model. Have been managing a Business Partner/Reseller channel of over 600 resellers in East Africa including providing training on IT solutions.
