Christine Kyeyune Kawooya is the outgoing CEO of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU). A Corporate Governance Expert, a trainer and entrepreneur. She holds a Masters Degree in Corporate Governance focusing on Financial Institutions sustainability.
She has worked at different management levels as a professional banker. She is a Board Member of; Rotary Mengo Blood bank, the Mentoring and Empowerment Programme for Young Women (MEMPROW), Balos Group Africa and a Charter President of the Rotary Club of Muyenga Tankhill.
She has trained public and private institutions in Corporate Governance i.e NWSC, Joint Medical Stores, Ministry of Health, NSSF, National Drug Authority, National Medical Stores, Insurance Companies and Banks. She is a mentor under GIZ, UN Women and Technoserve.
Christine has played a vital role to spring women entrepreneurship, women in management and on boards, Women capacity building, enhanced women networking and business sustainability programs.
