Jacob Byamukama is a registered engineer with 22 years’ experience working for both private and public sector clients on a variety of projects.
Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil) at Makerere University Kampala, a Master of Science degree in Transport Planning and Engineering from the University of Leeds.
Jacob worked as a District Engineer in Uganda for 7 years, then after postgraduate study worked for over 9 years as a transportation consultant /Specialist in the United Kingdom.
Jacob has been with KCCA for over 7 years now and is currently the acting Deputy Director Roads Management where he heads two departments namely the Roads Department and the Traffic & Transport Planning Department.
Jacob has been instrumental in the current on-going planning and implementation of several sustainable urban transport projects, contributes effectively to the National & Urban Transport policy reviews plus institutional reform and is a member of transport sector working group in the Ministry of Works &Transport.
