As Deputy Managing Director and Head of Customer Experience for ENGIE Energy Access Uganda, Marjolein is leading a cross-functional and geographically distributed team in achieving the EEA mission of delivering affordable, reliable and sustainable energy solutions and life-changing services with exceptional customer experience. Prior to joining ENGIE, Marjolein was a UK-based senior management consultant at IBM, working primarily with clients in energy & utilities, telecom and media & entertainment. She led customer-centric strategy and design projects but also delivered organizational, process and system change on large business transformation programmes. Marjolein has a long-standing interest in sustainable development, having also worked for the Climate Change Unit of the European Commission early on in her career and choosing sustainable development policy as the topic for her Masters dissertation.
