Philip is a Trade Development Specialist with more than 13 years’ experience in Private Sector development, investment Promotion and export promotion, development and facilitation, project planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. Philip is a Management Consultant and UN Certified Trade and Export Management Adviser who holds a MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics.
He is currently the Business Development Executive of Uganda Free Zones Authority, since 2015 where he steers the development and implementation of the Marketing and Resource Mobilization Strategies. In January 2012, Philip Joined Traidlinks (an Irish NGO) as the Assistant Export Development Programme Manager where he oversaw the implementation of an embryonic EAC trade promotion system (funded by TMEA and Irish Aid) that created market linkages for Private Sector across East Africa and mentored staff from Export Promotion Agencies in ‘Market-Led’ export promotion. Philip also facilitate trade and investment flows between East Africa and the EU.
Philip has participated in several international fora centered on Economic development and has also received a number of awards in recognition of his impeccable service, excellence, leadership and commitment. These include:
1. Innovative employee of the year at Uganda Export Promotion Board, 2010.
2. Employee of the Year at Uganda Free Zones Authority, 2018
