Narcis Tumushabe is an accomplished manager, strategist and leader with a broad range of experience in agricultural businesses with regard to management, investment, capacity building, financial and marketing management, start-ups, restructuring for growth etc. He is an agricultural economist with a high level mastery of agricultural systems in the Eastern and Southern Africa regions. He has over 19 years of working experience in management positions. Until now, he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one the reputable successful seed companies in the East African Region, Farm Inputs Care Centre (FICA) Limited for ten (10) years. He participated in restructuring FICA in 2009 and has grown it to become one among successful businesses in the sector. He has coordinated many donor funded projects, especially with organizations involved in the agricultural sector like Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA), The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (commonly called by its Spanish acronym CIMMYT) the Rockefeller Foundation, Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), Agri-Business Initiative Trust (aBI Trust), Mercy Corps and Technoserve. He has led project teams and completed many projects successfully. Narcis is a well rounded management professional, with an ICT expertise that blends well with business management practices which emphasize processes, policies, systems and people. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science; a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics; a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, and other professional qualifications in various business and agricultural fields.
