Patrick Bitature is the founder and chairman of the Simba Group, an East African conglomerate which now operates across telecommunications, solar and electrical energy, real estate and property, agriculture, radio, mining, and educational development with Ibanda University. He has a wealth of experience governing various other organisations and companies in Uganda, such as the Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU), Umeme, Uganda Reinsurance Company, National Insurance Corporation, Rotary Foundation, Tent Advisory Council, Uganda Investment Authority, Ndege Premier Aviation Company, and New Vision. From Simba Telecom to electricity generation, real estate to the hospitality sector, and philanthropic initiatives through the Patrick and Carol Bitature Foundation, he leads the conversation in Uganda as an entrepreneurial giant raised on the vision of creating economic growth in his home country, the Pearl of Africa, Uganda. In his youth, he travelled to London where he joined the London School of Accountancy where became a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). In 2003, Patrick was recognized as one of The East African business leaders of the future by Price Water House Coopers World survey. Married with four children, he enjoys motor sport and water sport activities and is passionate about promoting youth entrepreneurship and businesses.
