Amos is the Founder and CEO of Great Lakes Safaris Ltd. and Uganda Lodges Ltd. He has been promoting Uganda for over 20 years and is privileged to have seen a lot of changes in Uganda and East Africa. Amos is a well-known advocate for social and economic development through tourism initiatives. He is often a key note speaker at international and national conferences and events on topics ranging from economic investment, sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship and youth development. He has addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Entrepreneurship for Development and has been featured on CNN’s African Voices. He received a Titan Regional Award and Continental Award in Leisure and Tourism for his success in promoting local tourism in Uganda. Ambassador Jan Sadek is the Head of the EU Delegation to Uganda. He is a Swedish career diplomat; his first posts abroad include Prague (Czech Republic), Moscow (Russia) and Minsk (Belarus).
After three years as Head of the Consular Section at the MFA in Stockholm, in the aftermath of the Tsunami, he was in 2008 appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Sudan – liking it so much that he stayed for five years. During that time, he was furthermore accredited to the Republic of South Sudan as of 2011.
From 2013 to 2017, Ambassador Sadek was the Swedish Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union in Addis Ababa, with an accreditation also to Djibouti and to IGAD.
After his return to Stockholm, he took a year of paternity leave with his two youngest children.
In 2018, he was appointed Ambassador of the European Union to Botswana and to the regional economic community SADC (Southern African Development Community).
By training, Ambassador Sadek has a degree in medicine. He also served as a UN Officer during the war in Bosnia-Hercegovina and as a member of the OSCE Mission to Sarajevo, in 1994-1995.
He speaks Swedish, English, Russian, French, Czech and some Bosnian.
Ambassador Sadek is married to a Swedish diplomat, and they have three children.

He has worked across supply and demand sides of the finance landscape including providing renewable energy companies with technical assistance to improve strategies to scale and raise capital as well as supporting private investment firms and local banks develop market entry strategies for the sector and deploy capital. He has written reports published through programs funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and Shell Foundation on access to finance, taxes, subsidies and other regulatory framework themes in the renewable energy sector focusing on Uganda, Malawi, Rwanda and Sierra Leone. Jonathan most recently led a team that developed a market landscape study on Uganda's productive use of energy including an assessment of the regulatory and finance landscape. This study was informing interventions of a 5-year donor funded program aimed at deploying USD 140M in renewable energy, agriculture, and healthcare sectors in Uganda.

Richard Zulu is the founder and lead at Outbox, an innovation and entrepreneurship support organisation that brings together the capital, knowledge, infrastructure and people necessary to help small and growing businesses to succeed.
He is also the chairperson of Startup Uganda, an association of 28 innovation and entrepreneurship support organisations working together to improve collective capacities, influence, and impact, and to create a more enabling environment for innovators and entrepreneurs.
He is a member of the innovation and BPO Council under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance.
He has over twelve years of experience in building support systems for startups, software developer communities and small and growing businesses in Uganda.
Through his work, he has supported in the design and management of innovation challenge initiatives with various partners some of whom include Google, NSSF, UNFPA, UNICEF, MTN Uganda, to mention but a few. He is currently supporting a portfolio of over 100 businesses per year to become more competitive and investment ready through the various enterprise development initiatives at Outbox. He is passionate about leveraging human centred design approaches for product design and development.
He is an East African Acumen Fellow 2014 and a US International Visitors Leadership Program Alumni.

Jeanette Scherpenzeel is Lead Program Manager for Sustainable Tourism Development at CBI, the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries. Under the mandate of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, CBI strengthens Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to connect to European markets with a sustainable product offer aligned to European demand. In the past 8 years, Jeanette learned her way around the tourism sector. She designed and implemented sustainable tourism projects in Uganda, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. Jeanette believes in development by developing sustainable business. Which is what she finds in CBI: support tour operators and tourism organizations to generate income and employment. Based at CBI Head Quarters in the Hague, her current focus is the CBI project to scale-up sustainable tourism in Uganda. In parallel, she is engaged in an export promotion project for dried mango from West-African countries to EU markets.
Jeanette is a trained economist with a specialization in International Economic Theory. She worked as a diplomat for the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and advisor to the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. She started her career as renewable energy consultant for the World Bank.

He extensively reported on the conflicts in the region often staying at the battlefront in South Sudan, the DRC and Somalia. He was among the group of selected African journalists that were invited by the US state department to cover the 2008 election
He is an award-winning journalist having scooped the COMESA media Award in 2009 and the Uganda radio Journalist of the year award in 2004. Patrick Has B.A in Mass Communication, a Diploma in radio and TV Production
