Paul Power has over 40 years of experience in railway operating environments as a Director in the National Transportation Agency of Canada, as a railway manager, transaction advisor and as an international consultant to state-owned railways throughout Africa and Asia for Asian Development Bank, European Union, World Bank, and private companies. His focus is on institutional development, regulation and structural reform of rail transport. He has extensive experience in the rail subsector in Uganda. From 2019-2021 he was the Team Leader of ‘Technical assistance for capacity building to the Uganda Railway Corporation” funded by the EU. He is currently Project Director of the Capacity Building Program at URC which is being implemented by Consultrans.
